Premeditated Business Networking

Because…success doesn’t just happen.

Can you tell a “professional visitor” from “someone who really wants to get business done?”

Have you ever met someone, had a brief discussion, then afterwards wondered . . .

  • · What was her/his name again?
  • · What did he/she say she did?
  • · Why would I care?
  • · Did he/she want something?

There are those that dive into a well-rehearsed elevator a runaway train, full speed ahead without regard or understanding of where they are going.

Some people believe in the “throw enough crap at the wall something will stick” approach to selling. But when you are selling yourself, what you do or how you get it done, this method can just leave a real mess to clean up later.

Many business professionals look for business in an Apple Orchard when they should be in the Orange Grove. Would you know if you were in the right place?

HSI offers to shave story off debated Wauwatosa apartment project
HSI Properties LLC offered to potentially cut a floor off its West State Street apartment development in Wauwatosa in response to neighborhood opposition. But removing a floor may create or increase the need for a city subsidy for the development's public parking spaces, the developer said. The offer to downsize the building to four stories prompted the city's Common Council on Tuesday to send it back to committee for more discussion. The development, at 174 apartments with the five-story design,…

It includes a former school that Milwaukee-based Cobalt has a deal to buy from the city and neighboring private land, including the properties that Steinhafels owns. The project is envisioned to become a large, multi-phase mixed-used development, similar to a Cobalt project…

Herb Kohl selects Greater Milwaukee Foundation to manage $100M arena gift
Former Milwaukee Bucks owner Herb Kohl has selected the Greater Milwaukee Foundation to manage his $100 million donation toward a new arena in downtown Milwaukee that would become the team's future home. When Kohl announced he was selling the Bucks in April, he pledged $100 million toward a new arena in what most observers expected to be a charitable donation. The former U.S. senator was paid $550 million for the team he had owned for nearly three decades. "Because of their long history of working…

Some Wisconsin Center directors may approach Bucks on arena status
Although the Milwaukee Bucks have never contacted the Wisconsin Center District board about the possibility of buying the UW-Milwaukee Panther Arena or the Milwaukee Theatre for a new-arena site, some district board members may approach the Bucks' front office to discuss the NBA team's thinking on the subject. The Wisconsin Center board Wednesday held a closed session to discuss what, if anything, the board should do in relation to the NBA team's possible interest in the Panther Arena and Milwaukee…
