TopGolf negotiating for 14-acre Nashville site
Dallas-based TopGolf International Inc. is negotiating for a vacant piece of industrial property on Cowan Street, across the river from Germantown. The Nashville Business Journal was first to report in November that TopGolf, which operates technology-driven driving range and entertainment complexes, was eying Nashville for a potential location. Kansas City developers buy Germantown site
Two parcels in Germantown have been sold to a Kansas City developer, which plans to develop a 256-unit apartment project. Nashville Post reports that the parcels — 1309 Third Ave. N. and 1304 Fourth Ave. N. — were sold to Price Development Group on Friday for $6.5 million. Tennessee lobbyists spent record amount in 2014
Groups lobbying Tennessee lawmakers spent $725,000 last year on wining and dining events. The Associated Press, citing a report from the Knoxville News Sentinel, reports that is a record amount in Tennessee. For comparison, groups spent $650,000 in 2013 and $565,318 in 2012. The Associated Press reports that the $725,000 was spent on 96 events. The most expensive was a Christmas party held by Nashville-based Ingram Group, led by Tom Ingram, with a total cost of $40,627.
