Plans delayed for new state transportation headquarters in Albany
New York has put the brakes on an aggressive schedule to award a lucrative contract for the construction of a new Albany headquarters for the state Transportation Department and Thruway Authority. The initial March 23 deadline to receive proposals from the four qualified firms bidding on the contract was changed to April 6, and then postponed, with no new date set. Stolen laptop leads to Pioneer Bank data breach
Pioneer Bank is the latest local business to cite a customer data breach after an employee's laptop was stolen. The Troy, New York-based bank alerted customers over the weekend that the stolen laptop contained some customer names, social security numbers, and addresses, as well as account and debit card numbers.
