Grocery store coming to former Walmart in Fairfield
Former Auburn and NFL player Karlos Dansby is bringing another grocery store to metro Birmingham. Dansby Foods will open a new grocery supercenter and distribution center in the former Walmart Supercenter building at 7201 Aaron Aronov Drive in Fairfield. New grocery store opens in Bessemer
A new grocery store has opened at 200 Ninth Street S. in Bessemer. Urban Market Discount Foods is a 20,000 square foot grocery store that offers Alabama-grown produce and fresh meat, among other products and also includes Three Sisters Café with a Wi-Fi hotspot for customers. UAB kicks off a second wave of Covid-19 research projects
UAB is embarking on a large second wave of Covid-19-related research projects. Urgent high-impact research, in the form of 10 new pilot projects, began on August 1 and was funded by $402,000 in donation.
